Snow still coats the ground and the temperatures are frigid, but buyers and sellers are moving ahead with the spring market anyway.

I just put in an offer with a buyer couple who had already placed two other offers on properties and were out bid. This latest offer was one of over ten offers, and to my client’s excitement, the seller selected their offer!

How did we do this? Communication with the seller’s agent was a huge priority and asking many questions about the seller’s and their motivation to sell. We also looked at the market in this particular town and studied many comparable sold homes in the past twelve months to place a competitive offer, yet one that would appraise.

When thinking of selling or buying, keep in mind that every town and city is unique for many reasons, including the competitiveness of the real estate market.

As a local Realtor in Massachusetts, I won’t make a general statement about the market, rather I’ll pull some research together for every client about the particular city or town they’re focused on. The city of Boston is still in very high demand and so are the cities and towns surrounding Boston. This demand is spreading further out as buyers are moving out of the city to find more square footage and outdoor space, among other features.

If you have questions about your town and home’s value, please reach out for a complimentary market analysis. There’s no pressure to sell or buy. Education is important in this spring market and knowledge is power. We’re happy to help any time!
